Create a LINE Official Account + Response Settings
Create the LINE channel patients add as a friend, plus the response settings the webhook needs to work. This is the most common cause of a failed connection.
What is an Official Account?
A LINE Official Account (OA) is the channel patients add as a friend to exchange messages. Unlike a personal LINE account, a single OA can be added by many patients, and the clinic can message all of them.
Coauths CRM receives the messages patients send to the OA via webhook and displays them in the inbox; replies from the inbox reach patients through the LINE API under the OA’s name.
Pricing tiers
- Unverified (gray badge) — the default. 200 messages/month free to send. Receiving from patients is unlimited and free.
- Light (₩5,000/month) — 5,000 messages/month. For when operations ramp up.
- Standard (₩15,000/month) — 30,000 messages/month.
- Verified Account (blue shield) — trust mark + priority in search results. Free (separate application).
How to create an OA
- In the OA Manager dashboard (manager.line.biz) → top-left Create new account
- Enter the details:
- Account name: clinic name (shown to patients)
- Industry: Hospital, or Beauty / Healthcare
- Country: your country of operation (Korea for Korean patients, Japan for Japanese patients, etc.)
- Accept the terms → Create
- Follow-up setup right after creation:
- Profile photo (square, 640×640 recommended)
- Cover photo
- Intro text (within 500 characters)
- Confirm the add-friend URL (top of the dashboard)
⚠️ Response settings (most important)
A newly created OA has LINE’s auto-response bot enabled by default. For Coauths CRM to receive messages, you must configure all of the following.
Setup steps
- In OA Manager, click the gear icon at the top right → Settings
- Response settings menu
- Set all four of the following:
- Chat (manual 1:1) — OFF
- Webhook — ON
- Auto-response messages — OFF
- AI auto-response (Smart Channel) — OFF
- Save
Applying for a Verified Account (blue shield)
Not required, but it helps with trust and search visibility. Free.
- OA Manager → Settings → Account info → Account type
- Click Apply for verified account
- Documents to submit:
- Photo of the business registration certificate
- Representative’s ID
- (Medical) Medical institution opening certificate
- Review takes about 10 business days
- On approval, the blue shield mark is granted
Frequently asked questions
Q. Can I change the OA name later?
Yes, but there is a limit on how often (usually once every 7 days). A Verified Account may need re-review when the name changes.
Q. What happens if I leave “Chat ON” in the response settings?
You end up replying directly in the OA Manager screen (LINE switches to chat mode). The Coauths CRM webhook does not work in this mode. It must be OFF.
Q. I want to use only some auto-responses
Coauths CRM handles auto-responses (quick replies, templates, and so on, from the inbox). Leave the LINE console’s auto-response OFF and set up the rules in the CRM.
